Usufruct -- the right to enjoy the use and advantages of another's property without damaging its integrity or wasting its yield. I believe that we, humanity, are privileged to be the stewards of this beautiful world. It does not belong to us: we are given usufruct. Every landscape I work on – design, analysis, conservation – celebrates this privilege.
